Terms of Service for CediSmart

Welcome to CediSmart. By downloading, installing, or using the CediSmart mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

CediSmart is a personal wealth ledger and budget manager. Key features include:

• Summing and tracking assets across Manual Cash, Mobile Money (MoMo), and Bank accounts.
• Advanced transaction filtering, budget threshold alerts, and offline transaction synchronization.
• Premium Pro upgrades, offering custom app icon selectors, gold coin visual elements, and CSV exports.

Disclaimer: CediSmart is a financial tracking utility. We do not provide professional investment, tax, or financial advisory services. All financial decisions are made solely at your own discretion.

2. Account Security & Verification

• PIN and Credentials: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your 6-digit PIN. You are responsible for all transactions and actions taken under your account.
• Biometric Setup: Enabling biometrics is done for convenience. You must ensure that no unauthorized biometrics are registered on your device, as they could gain access to your CediSmart logs.
• OTP Verification: Registration and password/PIN recovery require SMS validation. You agree to provide a valid, active phone number registered in your name.

3. CediSmart Pro Memberships

• Subscription Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Apple App Store or Google Play billing systems.
• Customizations: Visual custom tools (app icons, gold coin backgrounds, confetti bursts) and data export options are features exclusive to active Pro members.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time within your platform's app store settings.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the App to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or bypass authentication routes of our API.
• Simulate fake or fraudulent transactions to deceive third parties.
• Send automated requests or abuse our SMS OTP gateways.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CediSmart and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

• Any loss of data (including local transactions deleted prior to syncing).
• Any service interruptions, database downtime, or SMS delivery delays.
• Inaccurate financial tracking resulting from manual input errors or mismatched exchange/formatting rates.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or on our landing website. Your continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
